Venture Capitalist/ Entrepreneur Josh Kopelman Uses Philly311

Yesterday, the Philly311 team received a shining endorsement from Josh Kopelman, Managing Director of First Round Capital, the Philadelphia-based venture capital firm.

“Wow I just posted a pothole on @Philly311 & it was fixed in four days! @PhiladelphiaGov @PublicStuff  FTW!” Josh tweeted to his near 46,000 Twitter followers with before and after pictures of the pothole.

Philly311 tweeted back, “@joshk @PhiladelphiaGov @PublicStuff Absolutely no prob! Thanks @PhilaStreets for speedyService! #teamwork #citizensengagement,” a tweet that Josh favorited.

The Philly311 team feels fortunate to have its services promoted by the popular venture-capitalist/ entrepreneur, but the moral of the story is that the Philly311 service worked and it worked well.

“Many thanks to Josh to using our services and for letting people know.” said Philly311 Director Rosetta Lue. “Philly311 is a great, effective tool and we want as many Philadelphians to take advantage of it as possible.”

Before joining the team at First Round Capital, Josh founded Half.com which he sold to eBay in 2000.

A great thanks to Josh, again, for the accolades.
