  1. Mr. Negrin,
your Bouncer certification program is an excellent idea. Where the problem lies & failure immanent is the fact that you have different companies teaching different protocols. Nightclub professionals need to be taught ONE proper training program, from a proper manual and study system. My training system has improved the knowledge and professional attitude of many nightclub and bar security personnel worldwide. I have been training and working in the nightclub and bar security industry for 31 years. I am a published author of four books on Nightclub & bar security and accepted worldwide as the number one authority in the field of nightclub and bar security today. My Training Program was designed using the same format I used when designing new equipment training programs (INKP’s) for our US Army soldiers in Iraq. It has taken 11 years to fully develop my college level nightclub and bar security training system. If Philadelphia wants to certify their bouncers..it is best to provide them with material and a training program that works & is field tested. The Physical Intervention taught in your training schools is not only injury prone but a lawsuit waiting to happen. Please allow me to provide you with a Professional Training program that works. Bouncer’s need to be trained under 1 common protocol. Think of it this way..what if your police force was trained using different methods? ‘Teamwork’..the backbone of any security system fails if they are not taught using the same methodology. Please feel free to Google my name for further information.

    Respectfully,

    Ivan ‘Doc’ Holiday
Director of Bouncergear Inc Nightclub & Bar Security Academy

  3. I started doing work in retail security and am currently a security consultant for several high profile shopping chains.

It is definitely rewarding work and when you see the stats on profits
saved through efficient security, you understand the reason why they’re able to pay you so
    well!
