What is your job title?
I’m a Philly311 Call Center Agent.
How long have you worked here?
Since April of 2012.
Where were you previously employed?
At a company called Wilmar. I worked in customer service.
In your own words, what do you do?
I provide information for different city agencies, make service requests, and give callers information on how service requests are processed. My job is to be available to assist residents and visitors of Philadelphia in an honest and friendly manner.
What do you like about your job?
I enjoy helping the city and its residents. I feel like I’m kind of giving back. I also like that I always have something to do. I spend my days answering calls and double checking my work to make sure it’s right so the customer’s requests aren’t delayed.
What would you like to see your department accomplish in the future?
You only hear about Philly311 when something happens. There are a lot of people who don’t know about Philly311. I’d like to see the service get more popular around the city.
